You have been directed here since you were accepted to the clan. We have found that we type the same things so many times to so many people that it is best just to give you a welcome page and make you responsible for its content.
The primary rules are posted on the clan description. Do not cuss! Be respectful. Don't ask for rank. Explanation of these rules are not really necessary. Moreover, violation of these rules has often lead to ejection from the clan. You could read them at the time you joined, there is no reason you can not remember them.
This is Anomie51's clan. The co-leader positions are allocated by him. Again, do not ask for rank.
At its core Anomie is a group of friends in real life who all go to school together in Virginia. As such, it is a predominately east coast of the USA clan. If you live in other parts of the world, we know that it will be hard to contribute when you are not playing at the same time. So if you live far away, it may not work easily for you to remain in our clan. This is not to say you can not stick with us; we just know it will be hard to interact if you are asleep when we are playing! When you first join consider a quick session in the chat room to clue us in on your age and identifying where you live. Donations are not necessary to make a good impression, typing/talking to us is! We encourage you not to give away any identifying information over the internet. Yes we can be easy to talk to, but private information should stay private.
What makes this clan special? Donations and community of course!
Donations in our clan are provided with the idea that more and better troops can allow lower ranked players a chance to win more battles, get more loot, and slowly progress to powerful armies and bases. This is one clan in which you will see bronze members getting level 6 giants in order to make attacks successful routinely! If the lower levels get stronger, we win more clan wars. When we win more clan wars, the guys at the top get big rewards! We encourage you to ask for donations. By giving away some of the troops we make, we ultimately will reward not only others but ourselves.
Requesting
If you are requesting troops, the more descriptive you are, the more likely you are to get the right troops to help your armies. However, if you are very specific about what troop you want, it may take a while until someone can provide you with your specific request. If you wish to be more general in your requests, please consider explaining what you need your clan castle for, as some troops are better for defense and others are good for attacking. It is your job to communicate what troops you wish to have in your clan castle. Requesting troops that are way beyond what you yourself can make will become irritating to teammates. It is typically best to request a type of troop and then be happy if the level of troop is unexpectedly good. Moreover, good requests from you are ones that your clan mates can fill quickly.
Expect offers of other troop types then you might expect. Filling your castle quickly may be as easy as accepting that offer of unexpected troops. It is fine that you remain very specific about the troops you want. You will just have to expect to wait a longer time then those people who are very general in the wording of their request.
If you get troops you do not want, certainly you can call out the person, but don't escalate it into a fight. You can always dump the wrong troops into the goblin wars.
Donating
In a perfect world, the request is of a troop teammates have in their camp and the troops are promptly transferred to the teammates clan castle. Donating is typically that easy. But it can also be a bit more complicated.
If you are donating troops, please respect and honor the request! The other player has apparently put some thought into what he wants and may have only a limited time to play. Your donations of an unrequested troop type can be horribly aggravating. If you do not have the requested troop, please consider offering what you have. If you get called out about rudely providing the wrong troops, please apologize. Fighting over this is not acceptable. You will typically be the person who gets all of the attention. Should the leadership see this as a significant problem you will be kicked from the clan.
Ignoring requests is also a situation noted by leaders. Should someone constantly socialize without giving requested help, that person will likely be dismissed.
Special circumstances regarding donations:
If you have completed your attacks during clan wars, please do not request any of the "best troops". During Clan wars, all non war requests are considered unimportant. These requests can typically be filled, but this will be by your generous team mates, not the top level guys who are trying to win our clan war. These "best troops" are saved for the people who still have clan wars attacks to use and who will be attacking.
If you are a "higher" level player and your requests and donations are not "close to equal", expect to get called out on this by clan mates. Initially this will be good natured. But after awhile, you will notice that fewer of your requests will be filled. The easiest solution is for you to start donating.
If you are a lower level, donations are not required! I repeat: ARE NOT REQUIRED! However, if it is just you and another person playing during the day ask if they want your troops. You would be surprised how often high ranking players will accept donations of low level troops if they are offered.
The bottom line is that donating troops keeps the team happy, successful and creates good relationships.
Clan Wars
We have evolved into a clan wars oriented team. Lots of decisions we make are based upon that part of the game. Lots of people have been kicked from the clan due to behaviors or participation issues during clan wars events.
Anomie51 is the only person who can start, or appoint a person to start a war. Do not think otherwise.
Wars are very expensive for our team to participate in for Anomie51 and other high level teammates. We have to spend elixir to buy all the troops in the clan castles for defense. We then have to make top notch troops to give to all the attacking players. If we give everyone's clan castles level 5 archers in a 40 person war and all the castles hold 20 slots, that is 800 archers. These each cost 200 elixir to make. It costs 160000 elixir to stock our castles for that size war. (Why do we not use dragons? To fill the same castles would cost us 1 million elixir. It is hard to get profit from clan wars with that cost.) Additionally Anomie51 and others have to supply PEKKA's, Valkyrie, Giants, Wizards etc. through out the 24 hours of attacks. It gets very costly. This is why it can take a few days before a new clan war is initiated.
Once the actual war has begun, we certainly encourage people to attack who they can beat. We do not assign you a person to attack. However a couple of guidelines are to be considered.
1. Attack enemy bases who can give us as many stars as possible. Do not attack enemy bases that have few stars still available unless you clear it with a leader. There is no use in ever attacking a base that has already had 3 stars taken from it. Claiming you did not know that a person has already been attacked for stars is insulting to the teammates since the game requires you to make an extra step to make those attacks. Your lack of attention, or blatant lie, are both unacceptable.
2. Attack close to your level. If our top ten attacks the enemies bottom 10, then our lower level teammates don't get to have any fun. Its silly to attack the "same ranked" person as 3 stars are unlikely. But it is likely if you look at or around the computers recommended target you can find someone you can beat. The number of stars you get for the team is more important than the loot the battle gives you. Attacking above your "rank" is not the best choice for most players except those at the bottom of the rankings. Do not routinely attack "better" people. The sweet spot is typically 4 to 12 ranks below the rank you have been assigned.
3. Before you attack, check in with the chat room. There are teammates there lurking around to help get your attacking clan castle stocked and remind you of spell use. Teammates can also give you strategy ideas. Attacking and then disappearing is perceived as being rude. We know you aren't being intentionally rude, but communicate with us so we know your interested in the team victory. A person who has a pattern of attacking and "disappearing", especially if they did not use their clan castle or spells, will not be allowed to stay in our clan for long. The bottom line however, is we want to celebrate your contribution! A star is a star. Every one counts!
4. Near the end of the battle, you may be given more specific instructions as to who to attack. Please comply with those instructions. Attacking opponents who are ranked too high near the end can result in lots of war losses. Actually they already have caused us to lose 2 clan wars. End of the wars attacks should be discussed with your teammates to make sure these attacks makes sense for the team.
5. Do not attack farmers above your rank during clan wars. This is grounds for dismissal from the clan. As a general rule, permission might be given for a lower level player to attack a farmer if the following are kept in mind. If you are in the bottom 5 of our rankings you can request to do this near the end of the war if we are winning. If you are a "middle rank" player, your first attack must have been a 3 star victory and we must be comfortably winning. These farmer attacks will typically only be allowed in the last 15 minutes of a war. Attacking farmers and then asking for forgiveness after the fact will usually not be an acceptable approach.
6. If you do not participate in clan wars, this is not the clan for you. You will be kicked out of the clan. If you know you cannot participate for any given war, let an active person or co-leader know this so they can defend your absence for you. In these situations, consider moving your village to Anomie V.
Recruiting
We are looking to keep fun, social, competitive players. Unfortunately we also lose them. When openings occur in the clan, we have a "friends first" approach. We are happy to have real world friends join, or even return! Recruiting from Global Chat is not an approach we want to take on a daily basis. Please do not randomly decide to do this! Anomie51 will recruit or assign a person to recruit from Global chat when deemed appropriate.
During Clan Wars we are closed. If a person attempts to join, please reject. If a player gets in by an invitation, it is expected that you kick that person from the clan "politely". An explanation of why we will not be letting them join at that time can go a long way to having them return the next day.
Posting battles
This is actually encouraged. Successful attacks against your base can teach you that you have to move guns and buildings around. They also teach your teammates what strategies work well at different levels. If you see something cool, share it! Clan mates can point out things that you may miss when you review the attacks. The more we post, the more our clan mates can learn. If you watch the clan war battles, you also can learn the difference between what makes a successful attack and a failure. Watch as many successful attacks as you can. This is the easiest way for you to comprehend what creates 3 star attacks.
Social networking
We want to help our friends! So lets try to be friends. We know real life can get in the way, but if you can't find a way to participate in our community, then you might not be a good fit for our clan. Since lots of us know each other in real life we expect to be able to get our clan mates to interact! If you are a person who is not interacting with us, you will probably be kicked out so we can find another interactive and active person who will play with us. Of course there is always Anomie "V".

The addition of Anomie V !
Anomie "V" is our holding clan. Its primary purpose is to allow those not interested in war (for any reason) to have a clan atmosphere without the stress of having war prep. We actively encourage those who do not want to war to transfer their village to this clan. Farm away here!
Addi is the leader. Expect conversations that occur in this clan to be available to "both clans". As such, it is best to not try to cause a problem in the new clan and be accepted easily into our main clan. Co leaders are appointed by Addi. Due to the constant flux expected in the clan, co leaders are assigned a bit more liberally. However, being a Co leader in Anomie V does not provide the same position in Anomie.
Additionally, we would like our upper levels to consider jumping to the clan during down times to help our teammates keep getting great troops in this other environment.
If you wish to get back into our clan after a hiatus, it is probably best to hang out here for some time in order for the other clan members to become reacquainted with you.
This clan has the same rules as the "War Clan". No Cussing, Be Respectful, Do not ask for rank, Honor the Requests, Request appropriately.
Periodically, clan mails will be sent out inviting members of this clan to "rejoin" the main clan to participate. If these are provided, please follow the instructions as closely as possible! After the war you may be requested to return to Anomie V.
During War prep, Anomie51 will often have to "cut" players to make our roster fit the requirements for Clan Wars. If you are cut, we really do wish you would choose to immediately jump into this clan as returning to Anomie is so much easier that way.

Leadership positions.
This is a short post to completely clarify the leadership positions in the Clan.
Anomie51 is the leader.
Co-Leaders are appointed by longevity with the clan, donations, participation, rank in clan, and previous evidence of good citizenship. Co-leader positions are often gained and lost. This however should not lead to a frenzy of requests.
Elder positions are supplied to protect teammates from being kicked.
Members are usually on those people who have not had a chance to get involved yet.
Do not ask for rank as it will only cause friction. An obvious exception to this situation is when a teammate jumps between our sister clans and would like to be returned to a previously appointed rank.

More about Clan Wars.
Clan Wars can be a very stressful time for the team. Certain issues come up repeatedly so hopefully a post about them will cut down on the clan wars stress and confrontation. As stated before, Clan Wars is very expensive for the people who pay for it. The vast majority of the clan does not pay anything extra beyond the cost of their army. The top 5 ranked players often pay for the clan castles of 60 attacks during a war on top of what their armies cost. Since they spent so much of their resources, they ARE ENTITLED to expect a team approach to clan wars. The team needs as many stars as possible, so make your army, spell and targeting decisions to get as many stars as possible.
On Preparation day
We would like two things to occur. (1) You need to look at your base and improve any defenses. You need to make sure you don't have a farmer set up at the start of clan wars. (2) You need to contact a leader if you can make Level 5 archers. We use Level 5 archers as our base defense for our clan wars clan castles. This troop combines the best of difficulty to kill since they are individual targets, have excellent speed, range, create reasonable damage, and are cost efficient. We need all the donators we can so that many people are helping with the cost of clan wars.
On War Day
1. If you are requesting troops for your clan castle and you are intending on attacking villages in the regular game, stop requesting higher level troops. You are taking time and elixir from the team. These requests should also include a statement similar to "not for clan wars". A lot of times, people who have done both of their attacks still want to play. Great, but direct your requests for clan castle troops to other donating players. Leave the highest levels troops for their own attacks and the clan castle troops of other war attacks.
2. The worst thing you can do is attack a base you cannot possibly 3 star. An attack you make should definitely create 2 stars for the team and likely provide 3 stars. Please look at the bases 2 to 8 ranks below you on the war map.
3. The second worst thing you can do is attack, and then not use spells or the clan castle during your attack. You should be attempting to have all the power at your disposal to get 3 stars. Expect to hear a lot of grief if you get less then 3 stars and the replay shows no clan castle troops being deployed or spells being played.
4. Attacking Farmers requires permission. When you attack a farmer you are being completely selfish. Now its up to your teammates to do all the work while you sit back and wait to see if you get to claim the inflated rewards. Expect to be kicked out if you attempt this without discussing it with Anomie or another Co-Leader.
We are certainly aware that there is a lot of loot to be gained by that attack. We are willing to accept you doing those attacks. We just want you to be aware that attacking that farmer is essentially the same as if you did not attack during the clan wars at all. Ultimately you do not help the team with this choice. So if you were to attack the other clans farmers all the time it would be the same as if you were not even showing up.
5. Attacking players ranked too far below your base/skill level is not good for the clan. You not only take away a teammates possible stars, but that in turn causes the appropriate attackers to look at harder bases for them. Attacking TOO low is best left for the last 2 hours of the war. If your teammates protest about your choice, it is likely they are correct.
6. During the last hour of clan wars, please start asking for others input regarding the decision who to attack. We do best if we can finish the war with a plan to maximize stars!

Circumstances that lead to people being kicked from the Clan.
The following things have led to expulsion from the clan.
A. Cussing/Cursing in the chat room. There is no real tolerance for that behavior.
B. Inactivity during Clan Wars. Why do I have to defend and attack for your base?
C. Attacking farmers during Clan Wars. Why do I have to win for you?
D. Verbally assaulting teammates. Be respectful.
E. Declining to donate repeatedly. If I am going to give to troops, how come you cannot give troops back?
F. Donating incorrect troops repeatedly. This is just truly unacceptable. Pay more attention.
E. Inactivity/Low Socialization. Just say hello when you are playing, especially when requesting! A simple thank you goes a long way. If you can't play the game because of real life issues we understand, but let us know.
F. Anomie51 will periodically have to make roster cuts to get the war clan to "fit" a category within the "war parameters". Basically we have to have a multiple of 5 to fit a category. If you are one of those let go right before a war, this is the likely cause.
